Today is the last day to register for 'Ten Things You Need to Know About Learning and the Brain'

Submitted by Shay Dodson

Reminder: Today is the last day to register for "Ten Things You Need to Know About Learning and the Brain" with Jane Fishback, from noon to 1 p.m. Friday in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building.

Neuroscience research suggests which teaching techniques are compatible with how the brain functions and which are not. Bring your brain to this brown-bag lunch session, presented by Jane Fishback, professor of educational leadership and an accomplished scholar on applying knowledge from neuroscience to teaching and learning. Free and open to all K-State faculty, staff and students.

This event is part of the Year of the Brain, sponsored by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. Registration is not required, but it is appreciated. For more info, please visit the Year of the Brain website.

Interested in participating in future Year of the Brain events and receiving David A. Sousa's book, "How the Brain Learns"? Contact us at catl@k-state.edu or visit with your department head.
