Biosecurity Research Institute director published in three journals

Stephen Higgs, director of the Biosecurity Research Institute and associate vice president for research, has recently been published by three separate journals with a variety of colleagues.
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene published, "Vector Competence of Australian Mosquitoes for Yellow Fever Virus." Higgs co-authored the publication with colleagues from Australia and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
PLoS Pathogens published, "Alterations in the Aedes aegypti Transcriptome during Infection with West Nile, Dengue and Yellow Fever Viruses." Higgs co-authored the publication with colleagues from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, University of Texas Medical Branch and Yale University School of Medicine.
Virology Journal published "Chikungunya virus adaptation to Aedes albopictus mosquitoes does not correlate with acquisition of cholesterol dependence or decreased pH threshold for fusion reaction." Higgs co-authored the publication with colleagues from the University of Texas Medical Branch and Carolina Vaccine Institute.
