Geology faculty, students present at American Geophysical Union

The following Kansas State University faculty members and students presented at the American Geophysical Union, Dec. 3-7, in San Francisco.

Charles Oviatt, professor, presented "Sapropels in the Great Salt Lake basin: Indicators of massive groundwater-discharge events."

Saugata Datta, associate professor, and Chad Hobson, graduate student, presented "Tungsten in the environment: A geochemical and mineralogical investigation of an emerging contaminant" with colleagues.

Matthew Brueseke, assistant professor, presented "Messing up the mush model? Single crystal constraints from the Miocene Jarbidge Rhyolite (USA)" with colleagues.

Abdelmoneam E. Raefm, assistant professor; Randi Isham, graduate student; Willard L. Watney, adjuct faculty; and Kaceelyn Hallberg, graduate student, presented "In Situ Sonic and Laboratory Utrasonic Velocity Measurements: Analysis and Modeling for CO2 Sequestration in a Saline Aquifer."
