Mass communications professor's book to examine academic commons
Academic commons are being established at universities worldwide.
Some of the efforts have been to support teaching, others to support learning and others to support research. A new book written by Thomas H.P. Gould, associate professor of journalism and mass communications, addresses all three areas. The book, "Creating the Academic Commons: Guidelines for Learning, Teaching and Research," also stresses the key role that university libraries will play in improving teaching, enhancing learning and expanding research success. Gould's book was published by Scarecrow Press.
