Architectural engineering student has thesis chosen for publication

Submitted by Mary Rankin

Amy Northcutt, architectural engineering bachelor's and master's degree graduate student, has had the research from her thesis selected for presentation and publication. The full paper, "Slip Modulus of Cold-Formed Steel Members Sheathed with Wood Structural Panels," will be published in the conference proceedings of the 21st International Specialty Conference on Cold-Formed Steel Structures 2012, Oct. 24-25 in St. Louis, Mo. Her major professor was Kimberly Waggle Kramer, associate professor of architectural engineering and construction science. Co-authors were Waggle Kramer and Sutton Stephens, professor emeritus of the department.

The 21st International Specialty Conference on Cold-Formed Steel Structures is designed to bring together leading scientists, researchers, educators and engineers who have been engaged in the field of research and design of cold-formed steel structures for discussion of recent research findings and design considerations.
