A message from Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Bryan Samuel

Submitted by Bryan Samuel

K-State Family,

By now you all may have heard about the mass killing at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. One of this country's greatest and most basic inalienable rights is the Freedom of Religion. No one should live in fear of hate of any kind. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the friends and families of the victims and to the entire Jewish community.

If you are in need of counseling, currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students should contact the K-State Counseling Services office at 785-532-6927. Current K-State employees in need of counseling services should contact the State of Kansas Employee Assistance Program at 1-888-275-1205 (option 1). Both service providers are confidential.

With caring,

Bryan Samuel, CCDP/AP
Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer
