Register now for free IT security training event on April 13

Submitted by Neil Sindicich

This April, K-State's Office of Information and Security and Compliance is hosting a free cybersecurity training event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at the K-State Student Union. To register for the event go to https://online.ksu.edu/Survey/take/takeSurvey.do?offeringid=174456.

The event will consist of a welcome and introductory remarks from Harvard Townsend, K-State's chief information security officer, followed by eight breakout sessions in the morning. By popular demand, the same breakout sessions will be offered again after lunch, so K-Staters have opportunities to learn about more session topics. The day will end with a security wrap-up, which will allow K-Staters to ask the IT security team questions about security on campus.

More information will continue to be available on the OISC website.
