Service interruption: Electricity shut off for Dykstra Hall, president's residence and Beach Museum of Art

Dykstra Hall electricity service interruption

Building involved: Dykstra Hall

Interruption time and date: 6 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, and Sunday, Oct. 21

What does this affect: Anything using electricity such as computers, servers, lighting, air conditioning and more.

Reason for the interruption: Remove Dykstra Hall of the antiquated 4,160-volt primary electrical system and place this building on the new 12.5 kv primary electrical system.

President's Residence, Beach Museum of Art electricity service interruption

Building involved: President's residence and Beach Museum of Art

Interruption day: Sunday, Oct. 21

Time: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What does this affect: Anything using electricity such as computers, servers, lighting, air conditioning and more.

Reason for the interruption: Remove the existing high voltage switch to the president's residence and Beach Art Museum, install and reinstall primary high voltage electrical cabling to a new replacement high voltage switch and install a new primary feeder to service Danforth Chapel and All Faiths Chapel.
