Goins publishes feature article on Allman Brothers Band member Gregg Allman

Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, has just published an extensive 39-page feature article through positive-feedback.com about Allman Brothers Band organist/vocalist Gregg Allman.
The in-depth piece, "Leaning Forward Into Laid Back," delves extensively into the making of Allman's first solo album recorded in October 1973, and rise of Capricorn Records, based in Macon, Georgia. In the course of the gathering research for this extensive work, Goins interviewed numerous members of the Capricorn Records label artists, including members of the Allman Brothers management, members of the Gregg Allman Band tour and Capricorn Records studio engineers. Goins also interviewed and collected research from the owner of the record pressing plant that reissued the newly released 180-gram vinyl album.
Goins writes for Positive Feedback, an online high-end stereophile/audio equipment magazine. He serves as senior associate editor and artist-in-residence for the periodical, whose readership is more than 400,000. Goins reviews high-end, 180-gram vinyl discs and hi-resolution digital audio music for the online journal, using some of the most sophisticated stereo equipment on the market.
