K-State Debate hosts public debate on body-mounted police cameras

Submitted by Alex McVey

The K-State Debate team will host its first public debate of the semester from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the McVay Family Town Hall in the Leadership Studies Building.

This debate is hosted in conversation with K-State Book Network's 2018 Common Book, "The Hate U Give," which touches on issues of race, policing and the media. The topic for this debate is "Resolved: Police departments should require all officers to wear body-mounted police cameras."

All are welcome to attend. The debate will be followed up by an opportunity for audience discussion.
