Relevate to host second Amazing Race to Celebrate Youth Mentorship
K-State's Relevate invites you to its second Amazing Race to Celebrate Youth Mentorship. Relevate is a nonprofit organization on campus dedicated to promoting healthy relationships by increasing access to relationship science.
Grab a mentor and join Relevate from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 for the amazing race around Manhattan as we honor youth and the strong relationships they have with their amazing mentors. Explore the community, strengthen your bond with your mentor, complete challenges that build your relationship, and learn the science behind your relationships. Up to $500 worth of prizes will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners as well as swag bags for each team.
You can find all the information including a link to sign up on Relavate's Facebook page, or you can buy tickets online. The entry fee is $40 a team — one youth and one adult mentor — and every participant gets a fantastic prize pack with discounts and gift cards to businesses in the community. Mentors can be any adult over 18 who provides guidance and support to youth ages 11-18 years old.
All proceeds go toward increasing access to relationship science to improve lives everywhere.
