Faculty participants will include several influential political philosophers from North America and Europe including: Dave Schmidtz, University of Arizona; Erin Kelly, Tufts University; Samuel Freeman, University of Pennsylvania; and Peter Nisen, Technische Universität Darmstadt. The three co-organizers: Amy Lara, associate professor, and Jon Mahoney, associate professor, both of K-State; and Lucas Thorpe of Bogazici University.

Approximately 30 students from the United States, Chile, Canada, Luxemborg, Hungary and Turkey among other countries are participating in daily seminars and lectures on political philosophy. Faculty will be presenting on work in progress, including book projects and essays, and participants will be working through the most current topics in political philosophy.

The workshop will take place on the campus of Bogazici University. Funding for this institute has been made possible by grants from the dean and provost's offices as well as a grant from the Turkish government.
