A17 Parking Lot to close Wednesday, July 11, for reconstruction
A17 Parking Lot, which is south of Umberger Hall, will close Wednesday. Shilling Construction will be able to bring in their heavy equipment to remove the existing deteriorated asphalt pavement earlier than K-State anticipated. Shillng Construction apologizes for the last minute notice. However, this is good for K-State since this will better ensure that the parking lot will be open before the fall semester begins.
People may remember that A17 Parking Lot closed down earlier this summer and was re-opened because the contractor could not bring in their heavy pavement removal equipment, that at the time, was being used on a state highway project. Once pavement removals begin, Shilling Construction will continue until the pavement is ready for cars to park.
