Jan Elsasser, Heather Reed and Trent McGee from the Division of Student Life presented at the annual conference for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, or NASPA, March 5, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This year's conference theme was recognizing the 100 years of NASPA, an organization Chester E. Peters served as president from 1971-72. The presentation was titled "Structuring the undergraduate experience: How innovative competency mapping guides student success." The presentation focused on how K-State 360, a universitywide co-curricular mapping program designed to provide students with a well-rounded experience of co-curricular programs, helps students stand out to future employers or graduate and professional schools.

The program is currently serving more than 2,800 undergraduate students representing 142 majors as of the time of the presentation.

Kansas State University will host a Competency Symposium at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, May 23-24.
