Confucius Institute to host 'The Culture Surrounding Traditional Chinese Clothing' lecture tomorrow
Shijun Yan, associate director of the K-State Confucius Institute, will present, "The Culture Surrounding Traditional Chinese Clothing," from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in 227 K-State Student Union.
In addition to covering the body and keeping people warm, clothing also plays a significant role in displaying the aesthetics of a particular culture, nation or time period. The lecture will cover the social significance and traditional heritage of Chinese clothing throughout its 5,000 years of history.
This event is free and open to the public.
