Open enrollment for optional life insurance

Submitted by Human Capital Services

October also is open enrollment for optional life insurance for all K-State benefit-eligible employees.

Through Oct. 31, employees are able to enroll in coverage up to $250,000 or increase coverage to their current policy by $50,000 — up to $250,000 guaranteed maximum — without answering health questions. Spouses may enroll in up to $25,000 in coverage without answering health questions and children in $10,000 or $20,000 of coverage without answering health questions. The Standard Insurance Company underwrites this life insurance coverage.

Employees enroll by completing the enrollment form and faxing to 971-321-5033. For more information, see the Kansas Public Employee Retirement System, or KPERS, website. University support staff and unclassified employees are eligible for this benefit.
