Vendor applications open for K-State Farmers Market

Submitted by Hannah Ens

Members of the Kansas State University community are invited to apply to be vendors at the K-State Farmers Market.

Two markets will take place this fall, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27 and Oct. 25 in Bosco Student Plaza. Rain location is the ground-floor courtyard in the K-State Student Union.

Spaces for all types of booths are available, and it's free to participate. In the past, vendors such as the Farm Club, the Feed Science Club, the Bakery Science Club, the Milling Science Club and the Horticulture Club have offered a variety of handmade and homegrown goods such as jewelry, flour, dog biscuits, laundry detergent, edible treats, Harry Potter pins, embroidered bracelets, plants and cookies. This year, the K-State Farmers Market has been certified by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.

The vendor application deadline is Sept. 13. Vendors must be a current K-State student, organization or faculty/staff member. Event details and the vendor application are available online. Additional questions can be directed to Megan Katt at megan34@k-state.edu or 785-532-5226.
