Have a student job, internship or volunteer position? Register for the 2017 Part-Time Opportunities Fair

Submitted by Ashley Bailey

The Career Center invites you to attend the 2017 Part-Time Opportunities Fair on Thursday, Aug. 24, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.

The center would enjoy hosting your department/organization as you recruit K-State students for part-time jobs, internships and volunteer positions at the event. More than 500 students attended this fair in 2016!

Registration is now available through Handshake, a new recruiting platform which replaced the previous online system earlier this month. If your organization or department does not have an account, you will need to create one in order to register.

When choosing a "company" name, your department should use the naming convention beginning with "K-State Department of." If your department is not listed, please create a new account. Use your email address that ends in @ksu.edu, not @k-state.edu.

Registration will close on Thursday, Aug. 10.

Two types of registrations are possible for the fair:

• Sponsorship registration for $200. Registering to attend as a sponsor includes the additional benefits of a premium booth location, a maximum of five representatives, your organization's logo featured in career fair materials — advertisements, press releases and career fair publications — and one interview room to use from 1-5 p.m. the day of the fair in the Career Center at the Berney Family Welcome Center. Sponsors will be provided with regular registration benefits as well.

• Regular registration for free. Regular registration includes table, table cloth, a maximum of five representatives, name tags, and access to employer hospitality area — including lunch.

Login or create a free Handshake account to post jobs and internships or register for the fair!
