K-State headed to American Bandmasters Association in 2019

Submitted by Noelle Blood

The K-State Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2019 American Bandmasters Association Convention in Denver, Colorado. The ensemble is one of only four university bands to receive this invitation.

"This is a tremendous honor and a testament to the fine work of Dr. Tracz, Professor Linn, and the wind and percussion faculty," said Jeff Ward, director of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

The American Bandmasters Association, founded in 1929, with John Philip Sousa as honorary life president, recognizes outstanding achievement on the part of concert band conductors and composers.
