Maseberg-Tomlinson named new director of Student Access Center

Submitted by Andrea Blair

Please join me in welcoming Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson as the new director of the Student Access Center.

Jason began his work in the office more than 10 years ago as a practicum student while he completed his master's degree in college personnel. He returned as a staff member from 2009-2012 until he took a director position at Global Campus.

Now he has graced us with his presence once again, having missed the rewarding work of assisting students with disabilities. I have a passion for this kind of work and have missed it, Jason said to me when he applied for the position.

Jason has many unique skills, one being in the important area of accessible technology. You will hear more from him in the months and years to come as K-State moves forward to ensure equal access in all communication and information technology.

Ann Pearce also has been hired as the new assistant director, previously an access advisor/technology specialist in the office. She will be adding to her current responsibilities, supervising the SAC Testing Center which has new procedures that will begin fall semester and should make the process much easier for both students and faculty.

I have appreciated my time at K-State. One could not ask for a more caring and hard-working faculty/staff. But most importantly, I have learned so much from the thousands of students and families who I have been privileged to assist.

Sincerely,

Andrea Blair
