Fulbright U.S. Student Grant information sessions April 12-13

The campus deadline for the Fulbright U.S. Student Grant is Sept. 12. The program provides approximately 1,900 grants for students to pursue international study/research projects or to work as an English teaching assistant, and more than 140 countries are eligible destinations. Eligible students must be U.S. citizens and must have completed their undergraduate degree before the start of the grant.

Jim Hohenbary, K-State's Fulbright program adviser and director of the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, will host a number of information sessions on April 12-13 to introduce students to the opportunity, explain application procedures and discuss what makes for a competitive application.

For current graduate students:

  • 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 12 
  • 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 
  • 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 13  
  • 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 

For undergraduate students:

  • 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12 
  • 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 
  • 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 
  • 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13

All meetings will take place in 215 Fairchild Hall. Interested students are encouraged to attend. Students can also call 785-532-3422 to set an appointment to talk with Hohenbary individually about the Fulbright opportunity.
