Mathematics Colloquium lecture April 5

Submitted by Reta McDermott

Rajeev Rajaram, Kent State University, will present "Some Problems of Interest in the Area of Stability and Control Theory of Differential Equations" as part of the Mathematics Department Colloquium Lecture series at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in 122 Cardwell Hall.

Rajaram will give an overview of the kinds of problems that he has recently considered in the area of stability and control theory of partial differential equations. Rajaram will focus on the problem statements and the intuition behind results rather than the mathematical techniques — which are mostly functional analytic in nature. If time permits, Rajaram also will comment on his most recent work with medical doctors in trying to model mental depression trajectories of patients.
