Hazard communication training offered April-June

The K-State hazard communication program provides employees with the necessary information to protect their health and well-being from chemical hazards. The campuswide program has been updated to include the Globally Harmonized System of Chemical Classification and Labeling, or GHS that was added in 2012.
Hazard communication training, WTD162, is required for all employees who may be exposed to hazardous chemicals when working. "Exposure" or "exposed" under the HazCom standard means that an employee is subjected to a hazardous chemical in the course of employment through any route of entry — inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, or absorption — and includes potential — accidental or possible — exposure.
All hazardous communication training sessions are in 011 Edwards Hall and are scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Monday, April 11; 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 17; and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8.
Sessions are offered at no charge to participants, but registration is necessary to ensure adequate seating and materials. Participants my register through HRIS Self_Enrollment or by sending an email to Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, department, employee ID number, course title and the course number.
