'Meet the Art - Carol Haerer' event Wednesday
Join senior educator Kathrine Schlageck at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the galleries at the Beach Museum of Art to learn more about Carol Haerer and explore her painting "Lucine" through looking exercises.
Haerer, born in Salina in 1933, was part of a group of Lyrical Abstractionist American artists studying and working in France. "Lucine," painted in 1966, one of Haerer's White Paintings, was part of a series produced in the 1960s and 1970s.
