Chinese Culture Fair 2016

Submitted by Max Lu

To celebrate the Chinese New Year — the Year of the Monkey — the Confucius Institute is hosting its first Chinese Culture Fair from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, in the Main Ballroom of the K-State Student Union.

The event will feature Chinese calligraphy, paper-cutting, Chinese tangrams, jigsaw puzzles, Chinese chess and Go, traditional costumes, and of course Chinese dim-sums. The new Chinese Art Group at K-State also will present its inaugural performance with an elaborate fan dance.

All programs are free and open to the public. Fun activities will be offered for children and grown-ups alike. Many prizes will be given away. Come and experience the Chinese culture through games, crafts, music, dance, fashion and food.
