K-State police participate in No-Shave November, community invited to vote on best beard

Submitted by Donald Stubbings

The Kansas State University community is invited to vote for the best beard among the university police officers, who are growing out their beards from Nov. 1 to Dec. 1 in support of No-Shave November and men's health awareness.

In addition to the awareness, those who choose to grow a beard will compete for the best beard and other fun categories on social media — K-State Police on Facebook and K-State Police on Twitter. Winners will be announced in December.

"The beards will serve as a reminder each day of the importance of men's health related issues," said Ronnie Grice assistant vice president for public safety.

The No-Shave November campaign started in 1999 in Australia and has raised millions of dollars worldwide.
