Rediscover Total Rewards update
Human Capital Services is committed to keeping the K-State community informed about our progress on key initiatives. The Rediscover Total Rewards initiative began in Mach 2015 with the development of a compensation philosophy to serve as a compass for developing a total rewards system. Over the summer, we collected 2,952 job analysis questionnaires from employees and their supervisors. Our participation rate of 82 percent is a very favorable response rate:
All job analysis questionnaires that were submitted by employees are now being evaluated by CBIZ, a third-party consultant, using more than 1,900 salaried surveys to compare K-State jobs against the local, regional or national markets. The determination comparisons are made based on where one reasonably recruits talent for that job.
The results will be gathered and we will convene a meeting with the president’s cabinet in February to share the data. If there are areas where we are not competitive in total rewards, we will explore ways to fund these shortages.
