Music from the 'Pacific Rim' to be performed Monday, Oct. 26

A free recital of music from the "Pacific Rim" will be presented by K-State's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance faculty members at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in All Faiths Chapel.

The recital will include works by composers John Cage, U.S.; Percy Code and Peter Sculthorpe, Australia; Kyung Mee Choi, HyeKyung Lee, Young Jo Lee, and Isang Yun, South Korea; and Chih-chen Wei, Taiwan.

Performers will include Amanda Arrington, piano; Slawomir Dobrzanski, piano; Karen Large, alto flute; and Craig B. Parker, trumpets and cornet. Dobrzanski will perform the U.S. premiere of "Sumjip Agie Fantasy," or Island Fantasy, by Young Jo Lee, currently chair of the board of directors of the Korea Arts and Culture Education Service.
