Chemistry professor presents national lectureship

Submitted by Chemistry Department

Professor Aikens

Christine Aikens, professor of chemistry, was selected to present the Journal of Physical Chemistry, a lectureship at the National American Chemical Society meeting in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Lectureship Awards are annual awards that honor the contributions of three investigators who have made major impacts on the field of physical chemistry in the research areas associated with each journal and are within 10 years of receiving the doctorate.

"This award is an honor for our research group, both past and present," said Aikens. "I have been fortunate to work with so many good students at Kansas State."

Aikens presented the award lecture during the PHYS, or physical chemistry, Division Awards Symposium at the National American Chemical Society meeting in August.
