Call for proposals: Institute for Student Learning Assessment on Assessing Diversity Outcomes: Advancing Inclusive Excellence

The Institute for Student Learning Assessment on Assessing Diversity Outcomes: Advancing Inclusive Excellence, Nov. 12-13 is accepting proposals for 50-minute sessions, 20-minute sessions or posters. Proposals are due Sept. 8. 

Proposals should address:

  • Defining diversity learning outcomes specific to a discipline.
  • Measurement tools for diversity outcomes.
  • Best-practice examples of instructional/assessment practice to develop diversity learning.
  • Strategies to use program-based assessment of diversity outcomes to promote institutional advances toward inclusive excellence.

The 2015 Institute for Student Learning Assessment/Diversity Summit provides an opportunity for college and university educators to share research and assessment practice that supports understandings of diversity learning outcomes. Participants will engage in professional development and networking through poster sessions, presentation, and workshops. The keynote speaker will be Alma Clayton-Pederson, senior scholar at the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

The Office of Assessment, Office of Diversity, Teaching and Learning Center, and Dow Center for Multicultural and Community Studies are the sponsors for the event.
