National Academy of Inventors invites nominations for NAI Fellows

The National Academy of Inventors invites nominations for NAI Fellows. Nominees should have "demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development and the welfare of society." Nominations may be submitted by anyone except the nominee, and materials must be submitted online no later than Monday, Nov. 2. The National Academy of Inventors is dedicated to recognizing and encouraging inventors who have a patent issued from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The academy aims to enhance the visibility of university and non-profit research institute technology and academic innovation, encourage the disclosure of intellectual property, mentor innovative students and translate inventions to benefit society.

Vice President for Research Karen J.L. Burg is a 2014 National Academy of Inventors Fellow and a member of the 2015 selection committee.
