Enroll in an Osher 2015 summer class

Kansas State University has teamed up with The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Kansas to bring the Manhattan area the diverse content, innovative learning opportunities, and quality faculty that promote lifelong learning in the community. The program in Manhattan is coordinated by UFM Community Learning Center. Read the summer 2015 Osher schedule

Manhattan classes:

  • The History of Rock 'n' Roll taught by Steven Maxwell from 2-4 p.m. Thursdays, July 9, 16 and 23.
  • The Movies You Didn't See: The Who, What, and Why of Censorship taught by Eric Monder from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, July, 14, 21 and 28.
  • Prisoners of War in Kansas during World War II taught by Lowell May, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, July 6, 13 and 20.
  • Manhattan's Osher special events: Bus trip to Concordia to tour World War II Prisoners of War Camp Museum and Orphan Train Museum on Friday, July 24.

The Osher Institute offers courses that emphasize the joy of learning for participants age 50 and older. Instructors are carefully selected for their expertise, a passion for the topic and a love of teaching.
