Office of international programs announces call for photos

Submitted by Mary K. Pyle

The office of international programs is developing an online resource center that highlights Kansas State University connections in Mexico. We seek your quality photos that illustrate your experience there.

With funding support from a Tilford Incentive Grant, K-State faculty and staff are working with the K-State Libraries to create an online resource center that will provide a wide variety of information – photos, texts, music – about Latin America – Mexico, Central America, South America – and the Caribbean, and in the future, expand to Iberia – Spain and Portugal. The ultimate goal of the project is to generate an informative and graphically rich website that draws upon the combined global experience of the K-State community as well as serves as an educational resource for all.

We are inviting you to submit your photos for inclusion as we launch this exciting website in spring 2012. At this time we are only seeking photos that illustrate the richness of Mexico. (Once we develop the resource pages on Mexico, then we will expand, adding countries and call for photos). Our Regions and Photos Committee will select the pictures according to their quality, but also according to their uniqueness and their geographic, cultural and perspectival value.

Please send photos, burned on a CD, in jpeg format by Feb. 15 to:
