Boren joins Office of Student Financial Assistance as assistant director of outreach

Cal Boren has joined the Office of Student Financial Assistance as assistant director of outreach. Boren will serve the K-State community by providing informative financial aid presentations and sessions to prospective and current student groups. He also will be a resource for high school counselors in Kansas who wish to provide financial aid nights to students within their school districts.
Boren joined K-State in July 2013 as a graduate assistant with Housing and Dining Services. He had the positions of assistant residence life coordinator and assistant coordinator for departmental initiatives. He served on multiple departmental committees and represented Housing and Dining Services at numerous recruitment events across the state of Kansas.
He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and recently graduated from K-State with a master's degree in counseling and student development.
