Let's Clean — and Go Green annual event update

Submitted by Cindy Bontrager

K-State Recycling, Financial Services and Environmental Health and Safety are partnering again to help departments clear closets and storage areas of unwanted, outdated or broken equipment, apparatus, furniture, fixtures and chemicals at no cost.

Collection of unwanted items will be June 22-July 9. Hazardous chemicals will be picked up the week of July 13.

Departments interested in using this service must schedule a pickup time for the items identified for disposal and follow established procedures. Once all time slots are filled, the scheduling calendar will be closed. To streamline this event, procedures have been relaxed relating to the completion and processing of disposition forms. Additional information and forms are available online.

On July 9, all items collected will be available in Weber Hall for departments to view and to choose items for their departmental use. Staff will be on hand to help take care of any necessary paperwork.

If you have any questions, please contact DeeAnna Fugate at 785-532-6525.
