Advising institute registration deadline is Jan. 12

The deadline to register for the K-State/National Academic Advising Association Winter Undergraduate Advising Mini-Institute is noon Monday, Jan. 12. The mini-institute will be from 1-4:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.
More than 50 people are already registered. This professional development opportunity will focus on the integration of career and academic advising featuring Phil Gardner from Michigan State University and Ken Hughey from Kansas State University.
There also will be a panel on professional mentoring programs at K-State, and attendees will hear from Charlie Nutt, executive director of National Academic Advising Association, and Carla Jones, assistant vice president for K-State Student Life.
