Dec. 5 employee bonus

Submitted by Alma Deutsch

The Kansas Legislature approved a one-time $250 bonus for eligible employees to be included with the Dec. 5 paycheck. University support staff, professional staff and faculty are eligible for the bonus based on the following criteria:

To receive the bonus, the employee must have a hire date as of — or prior to Nov. 25, 2013 — and have a 1.0 full-time equivalent from Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, through Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, within the same company — state of Kansas, K-State Student Union or Student Publications. Employees in multiple positions within the same company that when combined is 1.0 full-time equivalent are eligible. Employees on extended military or medical leave are eligible for the bonus. Also, those on phased retirement and sabbatical leave are eligible for the bonus.

Employees hired effective Nov. 26, 2013, or later and employees less than 1.0 full-time equivalent are not eligible to receive the bonus.
