LAST CHANCE to Live United: K-State United Way Campaign ends Friday

Submitted by Jan Middendorf

Just three days remain to choose to Live United! K-State campuses in Manhattan, Olathe and Salina have come together to make a difference and show we care about our communities.

During the campaign, K-Staters have come together. K-State Salina hosted a pancake feed and 5K race to raise funds, while students on the Manhattan campus held a Jail and Bail event to raise money and awareness for the United Way. Faculty, staff and students also participated in a coat drive in November to help the United Way help those in need.

More than 572 participants have already donated $90,984.98 to make a difference in our community. If we all give a little, we can accomplish a lot. Contributions of any size are encouraged to help K-State meet this year’s goals of 1,000 participants and $200,000 in donations.

All United Way of Riley County member agencies receive a portion of your contribution, but you can choose to contribute to a particular key area: education, income and health. Please take a moment to complete and return your United Way donation form and choose to Live United with the K-State family.
