Faculty Senate requests faculty members for service on two presidential committees

Submitted by Faculty Senate

Colleagues,

Thank you for your willingness to help each year with finding new participants for committees that have vacancies. In May, volunteers were requested for several committees; the appointments to presidential committees are in the process of being finalized. However, a few additional faculty members are needed. Because these committees are an essential element of the university's shared governance initiative, I strongly encourage you to consider serving.

The names of each committee along with the number of members needed are listed below. The length of term for each committee can vary from one to three years. Should you need further information about one or more of these committees, please contact the current chair of the committee. Their names are listed in the Committee Handbook, which can be found on the Office of Academic Personnel website.

Please take a few moments to email Candace LaBerge at candaceb@k-state.edu, if you have interest in serving on one of these committees.

I would appreciate hearing from you by Friday, Sept. 26. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this opportunity. I look forward to working with you this academic year.
