Meet, listen to artists Dawoud Bey, Hamza Walker
The artists Dawoud Bey and Hamza Walker will present a lecture "In conversation: Dawoud Bey and Hamza Walkera," at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 in All Faiths Chapel.
A reception and a special opportunity to meet Bey and Walker will be at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Beach Museum of Art.
Photographer, curator and essayist Dawoud Bey and Hamza Walker, director of education at The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, come together to discuss the power of art and its potential as a means of social engagement.
This artist conversation is funded by the Richard Coleman Beach Museum of Art Lecture Series, the K-State Libraries Dow Center for Multicultural and Community Studies, School of Leadership Studies and the art department.
