Personal laptop users can now access campus printers

Submitted by Betsy Edwards

K-Staters who bring their Windows or Mac laptops to campus can now print to the black-and-white printers in the K-State InfoCommons at Hale Library and the university computing labs. Printing requires a K-State eID plus a Wildcat ID card to release print jobs.

Detailed instructions are online for setting up the wireless-print process:

From anywhere on campus, users connected to the KSU Wireless network can print to the Pharos printers in these areas:

  • InfoCommons in Hale Library, a 24-hour study area and the first, second and third floors
  • Justin 325 lab
  • Dickens 1 lab
  • Seaton 22 lab and library
  • Union Copy Center

To retrieve print jobs, go to the release station in that area. Print jobs are auto-deleted from the printing queue after 50 minutes.

Housing and dining services users who have already set up Pharos wireless printing must still go through the setup for the university computing labs and Hale Library to print to the above locations.
