Help the K-State Book Network map 'The Ghost Map'
Are you familiar with the 2014 common reading selection "The Ghost Map"? Do you have expertise that you would like to share with the K-State and Manhattan community?
The K-State Book Network, or KSBN, is assembling a roster of faculty, staff and students who would like to present at a monthly lecture series during the 2014-15 academic year.
"Ghostmapping: A Public Lecture Series" will draw upon the collective knowledge of the campus community to explore the issues raised in Steven Johnson's critically acclaimed book, "The Ghost Map: The Story of London's Most Terrifying Epidemic — and How It Changed Science, Cities, and the Modern World."
Possible lecture topics include, but are not limited to: history, biology, public health, statistics, engineering, sociology, water, sustainability, geography, creativity, design, leadership and much more.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Qualtrics survey to provide your name, the title of your presentation, and a 50-word description of its content. Proposals for individual and panel presentations welcome.
For priority consideration, please submit your information by July 15.
