Submitted by Kerri Day Keller

Kerri Day Keller, director of career and employment services, was invited to provide an academic poster presentation recently at the World Association for Cooperative Education, or WACE, 10th International Symposium on Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education, June 2-4, in Trollhattan, Sweden.

Keller presented her research on "Internships as a High-Impact Educational Practice" at the poster session of the conference. As one of 30 posters selected by the international review committee, Keller's presentation represented research related to learning outcomes and quality initiatives.

Founded in 1983, the association is the only international professional organization dedicated to developing, expanding, branding and advocating for cooperative and work-integrated education programs within industry and educational institutions. The founders were college and university presidents, educational specialists and employers from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the United States and the United Kingdom. Today, the association has more than 4,000 work-integrated learning colleagues worldwide.
