Datta, students present at fifth International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment

Saugata Datta, students and colleagues from Kansas State, Tulane University, KTH Sweden and University of Dhaka presented at the Arsenic Congress, May 11-16, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The two presentations were "Groundwater-Sediment Sorption Mechanisms and Role of Organic Matter in Controlling Arsenic Release into Aquifer Sediments of Murshidabad (Bengal Basin), India" and "Hydrogeochemistry and microbial geochemistry on different depth aquifer sediments from Matlab, Bangladesh."

Datta also chaired a session "Arsenic in environmental matrices (air, water. soil and biological matrices)" and was invited in round table policy discussions.
