Military affairs director to speak at National Theater Communications Group Conference

Art DeGroat, K-State director of military affairs, is invited to speak at the 2014 Theater Communications Group annual conference, June 19-21, in San Diego. DeGroat will speak and moderate a discussion on his unique experience with the use of dramatic theater and live performing arts to treat contemporary military veterans issues. His major, national-level work to date in the arts and veterans issues includes "The Basetrack Project," "Beyond Glory" with Stephen Lang, "Memorial Day" film and "Resilience" by The Joe Goode Dance Company.

The Theater Communications Group is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to promoting professional theater in the U.S. The group has more than 700 member theaters in 47 states; 172,000 individual members, and 150 university and business affiliates.
