Entomology master's degree student selected as a 2014 HortScholar

Submitted by John Ruberson

Jessica Kivett

Entomology master's degree student Jessica Kivett, advised by professor Raymond Cloyd, was one of six undergraduate and graduate students selected nationally to be a 2014 HortScholar by AmericanHort, which is a consolidation of the former American Nursery and Landscape Association and the OFA — Association of Horticultural Professionals.

AmericanHort Scholars will spend seven days on-site at Cultivate'14 — the nation’s largest horticultural tradeshow/conference event for horticultural professionals — in Columbus, Ohio. HortScholars meet as a group and individually with industry professionals, attend educational sessions, and network at various social events. HortScholars will receive complimentary meals, lodging, an All-Access Pass to Cultivate'14, and a complimentary one-year student membership to AmericanHort.
