Submitted by Communications and Marketing

A team of Kansas State University students placed at the 2014 Architectural Engineering Student Design Competition on March 29 in Philadelphia.

The Architectural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers sponsored the competition. The goal is to provide a venue for students to showcase the value of education in architectural engineering. The competition encourages collaboration, research, innovation and peer review.

The K-State team competed as finalists and earned runner-up honors in four categories: construction, electrical, mechanical and integration.

Students on the team included: Todd Blackburn, senior in architectural engineering; Sean Wonderlich, senior in architectural engineering; Brent Shumacher, senior in architectural engineering; Bryce Harris, senior in architectural engineering; Lindsey Kramer, senior in architectural engineering; Maude Chalin, graduate student in architectural engineering; Eric Ross, senior in construction science and management; and Kade Schnoebelen, senior in construction science and management.
