Political science faculty, student present at international meeting

K-State political science faculty and a doctoral student presented research at the annual International Studies Association meetings in Toronto, Canada, March 26-29.

Sam Bell, assistant professor, presented two co-authored papers. The first was "Part of the Chain: Humanitarian Military Intervention as a Causal Mediator between Human Security NGOs and Human Security Outcomes" and the second was "New Approaches to Neighborhood Human Rights Organization Shaming."

Jeffrey Pickering, professor, presented a paper on "Coalition Governments and Diversionary Force" at a Catalytic Research Workshop held during the meetings.

Doctoral student Muhammad Nawaz presented the paper "How Terrorism Ends: Impact of Lethality on the Group’s Survival."
