Submitted by David Pickering

Jan Kraybill, a Kansas State University alumna, will play an organ recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in All Faiths Chapel. She is principal organist for the Dome and Spire Foundation, an affiliate of the international headquarters of Community of Christ in Independence, Mo., and organ conservator at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.

The recital will last one hour and admission is free and open to the public.

Kraybill regularly plays and oversees the care of the three largest pipe organs in the Kansas City metro area. She received her bachelor's degree in music education in 1983 and a master's degree in music, with piano as her primary instrument, in 1985 from Kansas State University. She later received her doctorate in musical arts in organ performance from the University of Missouri, Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance.
