Central mail services to limit automation mail service

Submitted by Loleta Sump

Central mail services will be forced to curtail automation mail services. This move is because of a reduction in the volume of automatable first-class mail. Trips will be made to Topeka when the volume of mail necessitates it.

Those days cannot be determined in advance. If you have a large mailing and want to take advantage of this service, please contact central mail services at 532-7751 to schedule a trip to Topeka. For the interdepartmental mail between the K-State and Topeka offices, the mail is shipped via USPS or UPS daily.

Topeka central mail does the same for mail being sent from Topeka to K-State. If you have date-sensitive mail, we recommend that you request that we mail it directly to the recipient's address to meet delivery requirements. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact Loleta Sump at 532-1718 or Tom Filippino at 532-7751.
